Names to Know: 5 Designers Hits Pre-Fall 2015

With more designers comes more to love, we believe introductions are in order. For Pre-Fall 2015 season, there are 5 new designer labels you need to spotlight on, Libertine, Wes Gordon, Callens, Creatures of the Wind and Co,  see what inspire you finally.

Libertine — The creative force behind the label Libertine, designer Johnson Hartig, is known for his inventive, witty take on fashion. Through the prodigious use of color and embellishment, and with an eye for the recycled and DIY, Hartig defies expectations with his deconstructed clothing. Dresses, coats, and blazers often feature maximalist prints and appliques, and are favored by those with an appreciation for over-the-top originality. True to its name, Libertine has also collaborated with the likes of art-world rebel Damien Hirst and esteemed trunk-maker Goyard.

Blending youthful freshness with an appreciation for couture silhouettes and craftsmanship, Gordon is redefining chic for a new generation with designs that give timeless elegance and sophistication a young, modern edge.

Callens — Callens makes multitasking look good. The performance-driven, luxury casualwear collection was founded by mom and avid golfer, Claire-Ann Stroll, in 2014 with creative director Paul Helbers, formerly with Louis Vuitton mens, Maison Margiela, and Hermès. He understands design, and she knows fitness. Together, they create a collection of "loose luxury" pieces—in silk, cashmere, and leather.

Creatures of the Wind — Founded in 2007 by Shane Gabier and Christopher Peters, Creatures of the Wind is an exciting breed of women's ready-to-wear. The designers, both fashion design graduates of The School of the Art Institute of Chicago, have earned praise for their offbeat, thematic collections slashed with youth-culture grit. They've also racked up some impressive credits: runners-up for the 2011 CFDA/Vogue Fashion Fund, and nominated for the CFDA Swarovski Award for Womenswear in 2012 and 2013.

Co — Defined as luxury essentials that together form a considered, cohesive wardrobe, Co blends elements of ease and polish with femininity and practicality into each top, dress, or jacket. Founded in 2011 by producer, Stephanie Danan, and screenwriter, Justin Kern, the two melded their passions of fashion and film together to create stunning silhouettes that force us to reconsider our perception of classic. Debuting each apparel collection with a short film, Co not only shows off its sophisticated clothing but also gives us a look into its personality.
