From the sleeping bag coat and clothing made of parachutes to high-heeled sneakers and Farrah Fawcett's famous red bathing suit, legendary designer Norma Kamali has been creating innovative designs since 1967. Known for her unique silhouettes and bold use of color, her designs are at once focused and unexpected. In the 1980s, she created her Sweats line, intended to take sweats and workout gear out of the gym and into women's everyday lives. After taking a hiatus from designing the line, Kamali reintroduced it in 2014, with a few modern updates to the silhouettes and fabrics.
Marchesa Notte Gowns at MYHABIT
British-born designers Georgina Chapman and Keren Craig first met at the Chelsea College of Art and Design in London. By pairing Chapman's draping and design talents with Craig's textile and embroidery expertise, the duo established a partnership that would result in the founding of Marchesa (named for an eccentric Italian heiress) in 2004.
